Call for APGAP Mentorship Group Leader Volunteers!

We are in the process of creating our 2024-2025 APGAP Mentorship Groups.  The purpose of the Mentorship Groups is to bring together fellowship program directors and other support personnel for quarterly virtual meetings to discuss questions related to program creation, refinement, and other operational topics.  We are seeking program expert volunteers to lead these small groups, typically made up of 5-8 members. 

Volunteer expectations are to:

• Host a one-hour webinar, once per quarter, using zoom or other common virtual meeting platform. Meetings should be held in:
  • Q1: May
  • Q2: August
  • Q3: November
  • Q4: February
• Elicit questions from other group members via e-mail or online survey at least one week ahead of the meeting to ensure productive and engaging discussion
• Provide a report-out to the APGAP Board quarterly with the webinar attendee list, as well as any educational slides/materials used during the meeting (templates provided)
• Expected time investment is 2-4 hours quarterly
  
  

Volunteer requirements:

• Mentorship group leaders must be:
  • A current or former fellowship program director
  • An active member of APGAP for the duration of the Mentorship Group cycle
  • Able to lead the group the entire mentorship cycle
  • Able to attend a brief orientation session (live or recorded)
  • Responsive to email communications
