Position Description

Location: Quincy, California. Approximately 80 miles from Lake Tahoe and Reno, Nevada. Located in a picturesque mountain valley, surrounded by the Plumas National Forest. Residents enjoy a four-season climate and easy access to outdoor activities of every kind. Other charming characteristics include a quaint main street, historic movie theatre, active arts community, thriving junior college, live music festivals, county fair and farmer’s market.

Opportunity: Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

The Advanced Practice provider may be a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for the assessment, medical case management, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and referral of clinic patients seen at the North Fork Office, Quincy Office or Indian Valley Office.

The Advanced Practice provider plans patient care using skills specific to his/her individual training and experience and works under established protocols.

Qualifications
Required Education: Must be a graduate of a nurse practitioner program that meets the standards of the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) in California or a graduate from a physician assistant program that meets the standards of the Physician Assistant Committee of the Medical Board of California. Must be licensed in California. Current CPR card.

Experience: Graduation from a nurse practitioner program which meets the standards of the California BRN or physician assistant program that meets the standards of the Physician Assistant Committee of the medical Board of California and completion of training consistent with the procedures to be performed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills with patients required. Must have knowledge of alphabetical filling system. Must have sufficient knowledge of verbal and English comprehension and expression to communicate clearly with callers, visitors and staff.

Other Requirements: Must demonstrate responsibility for keeping credentials current and for updating his/her knowledge. Must demonstrate reliable and punctual attendance. Must have a friendly and helpful disposition toward visitors and staff

Compensation: $61.97 - $88.35 per hour
